I received this promotional e-mail today encouraging people to wear red to raise awareness of heart disease among women. I immediately noticed a few things:
Design critique:
- “hope” appears twice.
- “Surviving” is the only black word capitalized in the design. Why?
- How does wearing red for one day “fight the No. 1 killer of women?” Convince me.
- What is “shout louder” supposed to mean? I generally dislike shouting.
- What is this red line to the left of “Go?” Is it supposed to be an “I?” if so, give it serifs so I can tell it apart from a vertical line.
